I have found that I am praying and reading my Bible a lot more often and you're right I do feel much more at peace, as if a huge weight is lifted when I do!!! Thank you for taking the time to respond! God bless you and your family!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-690247022207526098.post-76421849867313626262013-01-31T14:45:33.354-08:002013-01-31T14:45:33.354-08:00FIrst, I am so sorry to hear that you lost your hu...FIrst, I am so sorry to hear that you lost your husband. I can't imagine the struggle you face with your child's disease as well. But what a blessing children are! I believe that God allows things to happen in our lives that we often don't understand or don't think is fair. However, one thing we can always be sure of is that we are loved. God always loves us and nothing can ever separate us from His love. When we live our life for Christ and follows His commandments and teachings from the Bible, He uses the things we go through to bring Him glory, to show others that we will praise God no matter what. Along the way, He can use our struggles and trials to not only teach us how to possibly change the way we're living but to maybe help someone else go through something similar. I believe starting the day with Christ is essential! Whether it's reading your Bible, turning on worship music, or praying, when we start the day asking Christ for help, we can be assured that He will be with us every moment, (He is anyway!). Praying with your husband and children can also be helpful. Christ can turn our attitudes into joy and praise instead of worry and despair. And coming from someone who has completely felt that "peace that passes all understanding", God wants to grant you peace if you are wiling to lay your burdens at his feet. Something I myself struggle...Very insightful Kelly! Something I myself struggle with everyday! Especially as a mother, anxiety seems to, at times, take over! I have 4 children. The father of my three oldest children (who are now 5,6 and 7)...was killed in a car accident when our youngest was 2 months old. I am now very happily married and we have another daughter who is 3. My 6 year old daughter has a neurological disease that effects her muscles and we are noticing symptoms in our 3 year old that point to the same disease. I speak to God many times each day and try to stay positive but its very difficult. I don't know how to just "commit my cares to God" I have trouble sleeping at night wondering what could happen next. I'm always on edge, stressed, anxious, depressed and its not fair to live this way or to have my children see me living this way! Do you have any advice that might help me?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-690247022207526098.post-53315203041621658312013-01-31T08:27:19.821-08:002013-01-31T08:27:19.821-08:00Wow, this was so good! I'm going to hold on to this one for future reference!Julesdoobiedoohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03394754116686109697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-690247022207526098.post-9662576689871174752013-01-31T05:21:05.856-08:002013-01-31T05:21:05.856-08:00I struggle with anxiety, daily. This past Sunday, my small group and I spoke about fear and faith being opposites. Interesting that you have also done that here with anxiety and peace. God obviously has a point to make with me.
